I worked on some fabulous projects as an intern. My favourite was doing the research for the launch of the Coca-Cola Cup in Austria. It's a nationwide football tournament for kids. I got together all the best practice information from colleagues in places like Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. Then I had to try and work out the best way to run it here. I truly enjoyed having been given such a great level of responsibility.
What I loved throughout my internship was seeing how the marketing theory I learned at university worked in practice. This helped me get going even more quickly when I have been offered a permanent role with Coca-Cola.

Right from the start, I was working closely with my colleagues in Croatia and all over the Alpine region. It gave me a great introduction to how the business works, especially when I was negotiating with our bottling partners about timings for new marketing campaigns and promotions.
I also ran a special project, analysing the performance of Bistra, a water brand here. I looked at everything from sales volume and market share to price and distribution. We used the results to develop the following year's business plan. It was a big responsibility as it had a direct impact on the business. I found it fascinating to see the process from start to finish.
