Iberia =

Coca-Cola in Iberia
Our Iberia business unit covers the southern European countries of Spain and Portugal. In all that's about 56 million people, accounting for close to 15% of our total European sales and making Iberia one of our most important markets.
In fact, measured per head of population, Iberia is one of Europe's biggest consumers of our beverages.
About 200 staff work from our brand new office in Madrid and 17 people are based in Lisbon. Together with our eight bottling partners - one for Portugal and seven for Spain - they work to grow the business in responsible, sustainable ways.
Happy people
As well as providing the best facilities we can - like our modern, well-equipped Madrid office which opened in 2010 - we do everything we can to make the Iberia business unit an inspiring, exciting place to work.
And we're not just saying that. Our efforts have been recognised by the Great Place to Work Institute, who ranked us as Spain's fifth best company with 100 - 250 employees.
If you're based here, we'll do whatever we can to help you balance work with the other aspects of your life. We offer flexible working and lots of other benefits to keep you healthy and happy.
In return, we'll be counting on you to help ensure we do business in a responsible, sustainable way. For instance, there is considerable pressure on water supplies in parts of this region, so it's important both for the environment and for our long-term business prospects that we use this precious resource carefully.
Marketing our products in Iberia
One of the most important jobs this business unit does is to market our products. Marketing efforts are co-ordinated across the whole region, resulting in one overall marketing strategy. Indeed, brand plans and ideas created here are often adopted across Europe.
Having a single plan keeps everything simple - and that means we can put our ideas into practice faster.
Local operations teams in Portugal and Spain are responsible for implementing our marketing efforts on the ground. They work with our bottling partners to bring our plans to fruition, taking local needs into account while checking we don't lose sight of our overall goals.
Other important areas - like finance, HR and strategic planning - work in a similar way. It's all about maintaining good communications across the business unit. This makes it easier for us to work closely together and avoids duplication of work.
